Lot of 2 Presidential signed documents, Framed: Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. Both documents nominate James A. Fowler as Assistant Attorney General of the United States and are signed by the Attorney General and President. The Theodore Roosevelt document has a bold signature of the President and Attorney General, Charles J. Bonaparte, dated 01-12-1909. The William Howard Taft document has a lighter Presidential signature and also is signed by the Attorney General, George W. Wickersham, dated 05-15-1911. Both contain the Department of Justice Seal. James Fowler served as U.S. Assistant Attorney General and as mayor of Knoxville, TN (1928-1929). Condition: overall very good condition with wrinkling and dirt/grime to edges of wrinkles. Each document measures 17" W x 21" H.
