Chinese Famille Rose porcelain wash basin, polychrome paint decoration on a light celadon ground including a central landscape with various figures, bordered by flowering branches and floral sprays and surmounted by a pink foliate patterned rim. Unmarked. Raised on a fitted, pierced hardwood stand. 4 3/8" H x 13 1/8" dia. Overall with stand: 6" H. Qing period, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Williamson County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Porcelain basin overall very good condition with scattered wear to glaze including discoloration and some wear to polychrome decoration. Has been examined under UV light, no additional issues noted. Wooden stand with scattered surface wear, minor loss measuring 1/8" x 1/4" and a couple of old repairs.
