Two (2) Chinese Republic Period Kimono and Skirt. 1st item: Chinese pleated silk embroidered long skirt, linen waistband, skirt sewn in two panels, 26 inches wide x 36 3/4" long each, each panel with large hand-embroidered chrysanthemum and phoenix on mountain top on plum/brown silk ground with celadon green binding. 2nd item: Chinese royal blue silk kimono with colorfully hand embroidered round plaques of figures in garden scenes and scattered large floral sprays. Black silk border with floral and butterfly embroidery at collar and skirt base. 41 1/2" L back, 24" L neck to end of sleeve, 12" opening of sleeve. 3rd item: Chinese child's red silk kimono with gilt thread decoration of large phoenix with bat and flowers on back and other bats and lotus flowers at front and on sleeves. Sleeves and base with black, royal blue and light blue silk bands and medium blue silk lining. 29" L neck to base, 23" L neck to end of sleeve. All Chinese, early 20th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Scattered light sun damage. Spotting to linen waist band. Binding with some fraying on one side of skirt. 2nd item: 2" x 2 1/2" water stain at lower back right. Otherwise overall good condition with some fading. 3rd item: Numerous areas of loose gold thread.
