1st item: Chinese hardstone snuff bottle, possibly carnelian, urn form with naturalistic carving, openwork at shoulder area, carved rose lid; 2 3/4" H (not including small hardwood stand, 1/2" H). 19th century. 2nd item: Amber snuff bottle with molded ring form handles at sides and mottled green hardstone lid with silver metal mount. 2 7/8" H. 20th century. Provenance: The collection/estate of Mr. and Mrs. W. Jeter Eason, Memphis, by descent to present consignor. CONDITION: 1st item has area of imperfection at one side, possibly a natural imperfection, with rough feel to touch. Tape residue on mouth. 2nd item: Very good condition. Minor amount of tape residue on base and lower edge.
