A Walnut and Brass Bracket Clock, English case with German movement. Bell shaped moulded top and urn form brass finials, over a moulded overhanging cornice atop the rectangular case with canted corners; hinged door with arched glass, pierced inset back and sides, raised on a moulded step base with bronze claw feet, adorned with decorative brass mounts. Polished brass dial with applied acanthus leaf scrolls, silvered circular hour and minute track with Roman numeral hour divisions, black hands, three silvered sub-dials for Slow/Fast, Silent/Chime, & Chime on Eight Bells/ Westminster chimes. Three train movement, signed "Peerless / 99797" (Mathias Bauerle GmbH, St. Gergen, Germany.). 27 1/2" H x 16 1/2" W x 12" D. Early 20th Century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville Collection.
CONDITION: Overall Good Condition. Winds, Sets, Runs, & Stops. Even surface with light sun fading. Some surface abrasion, minor finish repair to bell top, four small holes to back of case; commensurate with age and use.
