Child's carved and painted wooden rocking horse, dapple gray with yellow and red painted saddle, original leather bridle and horsehair tail, mounted on stenciled rockers. Provenance: one of four horses used for display at Garfinckel's Department Store in Washington, D.C. Condition: scattered cracks and abrasions, wear to paint, missing reins and handles, old repairs to rockers. 27 1/2 H x 57 1/2" W x 13" D. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
