Five (5) Silver Novelties including Dutch Peppermint Box, English Cayenne Pepper Pot, Scottish Citrus Strainer, Traveling spoon/fork, and small footed bowl. 1st item: Dutch silver bombe form peppermint box with hinged lid, engraved leaf and diaper ornamentation. Twice stamped, once with two porticullus mark, then overstamped with the Dutch .833 mark. Additional, possibly maker's marks on interior rim (worn). 1 1/2" H. 2nd item: English Pepper Pot, engraved "Cayenne", lobed form with ball finial, tapering body ending in round foot. Marks for London, 1837, maker's mark worn, possibly JB in oval. Small dent to side. 3 3/4" H. 3rd item: Victorian traveling spoon/fork in the 17th century style with square shaft having figural large-breasted woman at one end and Corinthian style column top and finial at the other end and a sliding bracelet to stabilize fork. Marks for Alexander Crichton, London, 1881. 5" L overall. 4th item: Circular pierced tea or citrus strainer with shaped handle and tab engraved with a griffin crest. Marks (worn) for Edinburgh, circa 1880. 5th item: Small round footed sterling pedestal bowl, marks for Stokes & Ireland, Chester, 1916. 2 1/4" H. CONDITION: All pieces very good condition.
