1st item: Chinese Export Rose Canton polychrome and parcel gilt porcelain charger comprised of central insect and foliate spray design surrounded by Shou symbol of longevity and bat motifs, with bird couples on flowering branches alternating with insect and foliate design to rim. 16 1/8" dia. 2nd item: Chinese Export Rose Canton polychrome and parcel gilt porcelain punchbowl comprised of insect and foliate spray design to center and sides and the rim with band of wave decoration to the top, insect and foliate decoration below and Shou symbol of longevity and bat motif decoration below. 5 1/2" H x 13" dia. Both items 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Scattered minor chipping to rim. Minor scattered surface scratches and light wear to decoration. 2nd item: A couple of minor chips to rim, otherwise overall good condition with very light expected wear.
