Steinway Duo Art reproducing parlour grand piano, walnut finish, ivory keys, serial number 224413, manufactured in 1923. There are 315 piano rolls accompany this lot along with 6 player piano and DUO-ART piano books. Condition: Excellent overall condition. The player mechanism was completely rebuilt in the early 1980s. Soundboard excellent, hammers replaced, re-strung and re-pinned in the early 1980s, regulation and replacement of tubing for the player mechanism approximately 5 years ago. The bench is a later replacement. Maintained in a climate controlled residential environment. Provenance: Original owner was Harriett Mason Spaulding, wife of Huntly Spaulding (New Hampshire Governor 1927-1929). Dr. James L. Mason, nephew of Mrs. Spaulding, has owned it since 1954. Note: Professionally appraised in August 2010 with an insurance value of $35,580. Measures 78-1/2″ H x 60-1/2″ W x 82″ D (6 ft. 6-1/2 in. x 5 ft. 1/2 in. W x 6 ft. 10″ D).
