Francisco Goya (Spain, 1746 – 1828) etching #30 from his Los Desastres de la Guerra (Disasters of War) series titled ESTRAGOS DE LA GUERRA, (Ravages of war). Possibly early edition, the number 1 and crescent mark in the lower left margin are similar to other first editions examined for comparision. High resolution images of etching available upon request. Housed in a black wooden frame. Plate: 5 1/2" H x 6 5/8" W. Sight: 5 3/8" H x 6 3/8" W. Framed: 12 3/4" H x 13 1/2" W. Provenance: Estate of author and UT professor Jon Manchip White, Knoxville, TN. Condition: Overall very good condition, few foxing spots top and left side of outer margin. Numerous foxing spots scattered on surface visible on back of print. 2 5/8" paper tear top left of outer margin line, hidden behind mat.
