Two (2) Japanese bronze table lamps including: one (1) large vase form lamp with applied figural dragon decoration to the body, top with pierced conforming lid and mounted onto a square gilt bronze base with bracket feet, 23 3/4" H; and one (1) candlestick form lamp, the standard consisting of a figural foo or dragon dog standing at the base with lamp issuing from his back, the whole mounted on an inverted bell form pierced vase. Fitted with a small silk shade with resin Buddha finial, 16 1/2" H. Both Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Collection of John H. and Carol R. Evans, Farragut, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Larger lamp with firing flaw to top of lamp near dragon head, a couple of dents to the shoulder area on the side without the dragon, and minor scattered wear. Functioning at the time of inspection. 2nd item: Overall good condition, functioning at time of inspection.
