East Tennessee decorated stoneware jar or crock, attributed to Charles Frederick Decker (1832-1914) of Keystone Pottery, Washington County, TN. 2-Gallon salt-glazed form with cobalt decorated flower of several petals to each side of the body, and cobalt decoration on top and base of each lug handle with cobalt feather below. 12" H. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Hawkins County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Scattered chipping to the rim, remnants of old gold paint on bottom edge.
