Large oil on canvas painting of young boys playing dice while one boy eats a piece of fruit and his dog watches on, after the Spanish Baroque painter Bartolome Murillo (1617-1682). "Murillo" written on back of canvas. Possibly original giltwood and composition molded frame with beaded rabbet edge. 57" x 42" sight, 67" x 52-1/2" framed. Late 19th century. Condition: Painting has been cleaned and revarnished, blacklight reveals scattered tiny spots of repaint. 2 areas of 1-1/4" loss to beaded molding of frame (beads from one area have been retained) and one 1" edge chip.
