After Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965), three (3) woodblock prints on paper from original linoleum blocks: Pelican, Crab and Ducks, acquired at Shearwater Pottery, Mississippi, 1970s. 1st item: Horizontal Pelican, unframed, inscribed on tape at end: “Shearwater Prints 78 – A3 Horizontal Pelican. Walter I. Anderson. Printed from the original block by Carolyn Fournier Anderson.” 55 3/4 in. x 20 1/2 in. 2nd item: Crab, Unframed. Inscribed on tape at end: “Shearwater Prints 77 – A1 Crab. Walter I. Anderson. Printed from the original block by Carolyn Fournier Anderson.” Sheet: 20 1/2 in. x 28 1/2 in. 3rd item: Ducks – 4 Flying Across, Framed. Sight: 19 3/4 x 33 3/4 . In plain black acrylic frame: 20 1/2 x 34 1/2.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Ruth Weinstein Lebovitz, purchased from Shearwater Pottery circa 1971.
CONDITION: Ducks print was not examined out of frame. Both unframed items with tape and slight creasing at each end, ends unevenly cut. Pelican has 2 short edge tears. Overall good condition.
