Two (2) Middle Tennessee split white oak buttocks baskets by Cannon County makers – one by Ida Pearl Davis (1921-2007) and her daughter Thelma Davis Hibdon (b. 1942), and the other by Gertie Haley (20th c.). 1st item: One (1) "1/2 Gallon" basket with original sales tag from Ida Davis and Thelma Davis, additionally signed under handle and dated 1989. 11"H x 11"W x 12"D. 2nd item: One (1) basket signed by Gertie Haley under handle and dated 1990, having a horizontally woven rim. 12"H x 11"W x 11 1/2"D.
CONDITION: Couple of minor frayed weavers and loose ends on Haley basket, otherwise both baskets in very good condition.
