Two framed works by Werner Wildner (Nashville, Tennessee, 1924-2004). 1st item: Pencil, watercolor and gouache painting of a pipe with human facial features and arms, balancing on one arm while holding a lighted match with the other. Signed “W” lower left. 6-5/8″ x 9-5/8″ sight, 11″ x 13″ matted and in ebonized frame with gilt trim. 2nd item: Pencil drawing, still life with dead bird, signed “Wildner” left of image. 5-3/4″ x 8-3/4″ sight, 13″ x 16″ matted and in painted molded frame. Condition: 1st item: Painting excellent, some light staining to mat at bottom left edge. 2nd item: Light toning and several tiny dark specks to background. Moderate paint loss to frame. Not examined out of frame.
