Two (2) 19th century firearms, one (1) WW I era Luckhaus & Gunther Remscheid German Machete, 3 items total. 1st item: T. Barker Side by Side Double Barrel Shotgun, 16 gauge. Lock plates marked "T. Barker", top of ribs marked "Belgium Royal Damascus" over zigzag pattern, top of left barrel marked "Choke Bored", possible inspector marks to breech. Walnut stocks with checkered wrist, replacement fore arm, round barrels, triggers, round barrels, lock plates, receiver and trigger guard with foliate engravings, left lock plate with engraving of a running dog, incised lines to butt plate, shield cartouche to underside of wrist, front sight bead. Barrel length – 30". Overall length – 46 3/4". Late 19th century. 2nd item: World War I era Luckhaus & Gunther Remscheid German Machete with leather sheath. Checkered bone grips, nickeled metal eagle head pommel and S shaped guard, single edged blade. Ricasso stamped "Luckhaus & Gunther Remscheid" in a circle pattern and "La Catalana Teniente-Rey.26 [illegible]" to one side, a Pascal lamb in a dotted circle over "Machete Regimentario" and "877/C", to other side. Leather sheath with scrolling foliate designs to one side and nickeled metal throat and drag. Blade length – 27 3/4". Overall length with sheath – 33 1/2". 3rd item: Percussion rifle with double set triggers, .69 caliber. Walnut stocks, octagon barrel with double lugs for bayonet attachment, brass trigger guard, butt plate, and thimbles, wooden ram rod, rear and front sights. Barrel length – 28". Overall length – 44". 2nd half of 19th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Action works, however the shotgun is recommended for display purposes only. Stocks have been slightly sanded, normal storage dings and wear. No finish remaining. 2nd item: Blade with heavy pitting. Insect damage to grips. Sheath with wear. Throat and drag are loose from sheath. 3rd item: Action is excellent. Rifled barrel. Converted from flintlock with bolster conversion. No legible markings. All metal heavily pitted. Patch box cover is a homemade replacement. Stock is sound. Missing rear swivel swing.
