Five (5) Old Paris porcelain parcel-gilt vases, including two (2) pairs, all on white grounds. One (1) pair with polychrome vignettes of courting couples to one side, and floral sprays to the other, one (1) pair with applied bisque male and female figures with polychrome accents and foliate decorations, and one (1) vase with a transfer printed vignette of a young child dressed as a tribal warrior to one side with applied foliate decorations. Bisque figural vase pair with impressed numbers to underside of bases, also includes a handwritten sticker with date and "Old Paris" attribution, one courting couple vase with handwritten sticker to underside of base. Ranging in size from 8" H x 6" W to 11" H x 7 3/4" W. All items likely French, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of David B. Person, Holly Springs, Mississippi.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with scattered firing flaws, losses to gilt, interior surface grime. Courting couple vases with series of cobweb hairlines, largest approximately 2 1/2" H x 1 1/2" W, to underside of bases, one with two hairlines, largest 2 1/2", including one extending from rim and one to upper shoulder. Female bisque figural vase with two hairlines, largest 1 1/4", to base. Amazon warrior vase with 3/4" H x 1 3/4" W areas of loss to rim with two chips, largest 1/2".
