Pair (2) of French 19th-century bronze figural chenets depicting Egyptian Sphinxes atop bronze bases with wheat, mask, and cornucopia relief decoration, atop turnip feet. Custom wood bases have been wired as lamps. Fitted with custom stripe lamp shades. Chenets are not marked and are removable from the bases. 11" H x 10" W x 7" D. Overall with shades: 28" H.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both lamps in overall very good condition. One chenet with loose foot. Both lamps functioning at time of inspection.
