Rachel Marshall Hawks (American/Maryland, b. 1879) bronze garden sculpture fountain with verdigris patina, depicting a nude young girl with butterfly. Signed R. Hawks and stamped ROMAN BRONZE WORKS INC. to base. 36"H x 20"W x 17"D. 73 pounds. Biography: Rachel Marshall Hawks studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art's Rinehart School of Sculpture with Ephraim Keyser. Much of her work consisted of public installations, including the City Hall and Memorial Hospital Fountain in Baltimore and the U.S. Naval Academy. (Source: Artprice).

CONDITION: Significant oxidation and some scattered areas of corrosion due to outdoor exposure; a few scattered small dents and abrasions. Water holes plugged.
