Copper plate engraving with hand coloring of Silesia, a historical region of Central Europe located mostly in Poland, with cities and towns, rivers, mountains and other points of interest identified with French text. Decorative title cartouche, lower left of map, scale of miles, lower right of map. Map surrounded by scale, directional notations, and line border. Housed under glass in a wooden frame with gilt wood rabbet edge. Sight – 16 1/4" H x 19 1/2" W. The map shows cities and towns, including Boston, roads, county lines, territory lines including the dotted border of Treaty of Paris, 1763, rivers and other bodies of water, mountains including Transappalachian information, forts, and other points of interest including the locations of Native American tribes with French text.
