Flintlock tinder pistol lighter, European or American, with engraved wooden handle (foliate carving on tang), steel body, trigger, hammer and stand, hidden compartment for tinder and a receptacle on side for small candle or rush. Not marked. Overall good condition with slight age cracks to wood. 7 3/4" L x 4 1/4" H. 18th/Early 19th Century.
