Eight (8) Chinese Tian-tsui hair ornaments housed in a lacquer box, 9 items total. 1st-4th items: Four (4) metal stick hair ornaments with coral beads, including one (1) gilt Kingfisher feather openwork floral and insect form, one (1) gilt floral form with jade plaque, and two (2) with figural jade plaques. 5th item: Gilt metal openwork hair ornament with blue wire accent in foliate and fish forms. 6th-8th items: Three (3) stick hair ornaments, including one (1) gilt metal double-pronged with floral and bird forms, one (1) gilt metal double-pronged with fish form having attached spheres, and one (1) wooden with orange enamel sphere topper carved with geometric pattern. 9th item: Lacquer box with hinged lid having hasp latch, insect design, and geometric flourish corners with flowering branches throughout. All items ranging from 3" H x 2 1/8" W to 1 3/4" H x 8" W x 4 3/4" D. All late 19th to early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Williamson County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with scattered oxidation and minor bending to metal ornaments. Kingfisher ornament with scattered losses to featherwork. Floral ornament with jade plaque with wiring slightly loose. Double-pronged with bird forms with one prong significantly bent. Box with scattered minor surface wear and wear to interior.
