Adrien Gaudez (French, 1845-1902) bronze sculpture, "Etoile du Matin" (Morning Star). Bronze sculpture of a woman standing on a sphere decorated with zodiac symbols and reaching for the sky. Base with applied shield medallion reading "Etoile du Matin par Gauzez/Hors Concours". 15"H. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: Missing the star that should be in her hand.
