Purvis Young (Florida, 1943-2010) large horizontal outsider art mixed media house paint on scrap or found paper painting depicting a row of semi-trucks surrounded by figures working against a loosely painted background, rendered in red, white, and black pigments. Signed "Young" in pen, right center. Float mounted under glass in a custom contemporary metallic painted wood frame. Sight: 18" H x 47" W. Framed: 27" H x 54" W.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Jay Justice, South Carolina.
CONDITION: One tear in upper right corner, approximately 1". Other visible damage including toning, creasing, and tears, likely occurred before found paper was utilized as a medium by the artist.
