Neoclassical inlaid settee, shaped upholstered back, with line inlay on shaped arms and tapered legs, diamond-shaped ebony and satinwood inlay and inner line inlay around two front skirt panels. Pine secondary wood. Upholstered in newer salmon and gold brocade. 37 3/4" H back x 59 1/2" W x 26 1/2" overall depth. Continental, possibly Italian, 1st quarter 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Christine Rehnke, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Arms slightly loose. Possible repaired break to center leg, scattered small losses to inlay. Overall good structurally sound condition.
