English mahogany cellarette on stand, oak and deal secondary. Comprised of a hinged, mitered and molded edge top, dovetailed upper case with an interior well having bottle compartments flanking both sides, dovetailed drawer with brass pulls and escutcheon below incorporating the wide medial molding around the base of the upper case, resting on a plain base with pegged construction and squared tapering legs. Fitted brass handles on the sides. 32 1/2" H x 21 1/2" W x 15" D. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Donley and Eunice Hill, Andersonville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Older refinish. One old repaired break to one lid hinge, replaced hardware is not original, upper dovetailed case fitted on the underside with contemporary slats to rest on the lower base securely. Base possibly associated with the cellarette.
