Pair of Coin Silver Goblets, round bowls with band of gadrooning at rims, over a stem flaring to a round base, raised on a short foot decorated with a floral band. Hand hammered interiors. No maker's mark. Both monogrammed HAIDEN TRIGG CURD (born Barren County, Ky, 1804-d. Louisville, 1858 or 1859, one of the earliest directors of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad, and the Bank of Kentucky). Provenance: by descent to a Nashville collection. 5 5/8" H and 5 3/8" H. 12.0 oz troy. Condition: One goblet has been crushed down at the foot ring, making it shorter than the other; the second goblet has a flattening dent at the side of the foot ring, both with other minor scratches and dents.
