Werner Wildner (Nashville, Tennessee, 1925-2004) oil on panel trompe l'oeil painting depicting a white paper butterfly pinned to a discolored blue sheet alongside a feather, red ribbon, and hanging disk with a painted sun motif, all within a wooden shadow box; shells, additional pins and feather, and a broken blue eggshell sit upon the lower ledge. Signed "Wildner" lower right. Numbering, en verso of panel. Lyzon framer's label, en verso of backing. Housed and double-matted under glass in a gilt frame. Sight: 7" H x 8 1/8" W. Framed: 16 3/4" H x 17 5/8" W.
