Near pair of George II style parcel gilt rectangular mirrors, mahogany with broken arch pediments having giltwood molded trim and eagle finials, with giltwood rosette, husk and swag ornamentation to frame edges, sides and base. One with label "Made in Italy." 58"H x 31"W overall. Both early to mid 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of J. Fred Pilkerton, Jr., Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Mirror glasses are cloudy and may be older than the frames. One mirror frame has small losses to the tip of the eagle's wing and beak and a repaired break to the pediment. The other mirror is in very good condition.
