English bronze architectural Gothic Revival mantel clock, having a silvered clock face with Roman numerals, signed "Whitmore/Northampton". 15 1/8" H x 10 1/2" W x 6 1/2" D. 18 lbs. Mid 19th century. Note: An identical clock is on exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York in Gallery 740, Gothic Revival Library. Provenance: Private Knoxville, TN collection. CONDITION: Scattered areas of surface oxidation. Minor wear to lower right front edge. Works not tested or guaranteed.
