Pair of Chinese Famille Rose porcelain hexagonal jardinieres, each having hand-painted images of birds, crickets, praying mantis, and other insects perched on flowering branches, all on white ground, with molded ruyi-heads to rim and footed base. 7 1/4" H x 10 1/2" W. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Williamson County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with expected flaws in the making, few scattered fleabites, largest 1/4", to rims, areas of loss to enamel, largest 3/4", to feet, surface grime. Lacking underplates.
