Tea Set consisting of twelve carved celadon hardstone cups and saucers and spoons, each spoon handle carved with dragon head at the terminus, cups with serrated carved handles. Cups 1-3/4"H, saucers 3-3/4" diameter, spoons 3" L. Chinese, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century. Provenance: purchased by consignor's father at an auction of material deaccessioned by the Detroit Museum of Art; the set had been donated by members of the Ford family of Detroit. Condition: 2 saucers have small chips at rims, 3 cups have possible minute losses at the bottom tips of handles, 1 spoon has possible small loss at top of dragon head.
