Early 19th century. 2nd item: English mahogany inlaid tea caddy of hexagonal form, string and checkered banded inlay on edges and inlaid ellipses on front panel and top. Interior with wooden reeded divider, lead lining. 5 1/4"H x 10 1/2"W x 5"D. Early 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Virginia J. Cook, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: 1st item: Overall very good condition, minor losses to inlay on edges, missing interior foil lining. 2nd item: refinished, faded top and sides, warped top, losses to inlay on some edges, missing interior covers.
