New England paint decorated dome box with reeded molding surrounds and square nail construction. Green painted ground exterior and interior with yellow stencil outlines and sponge decorated panels. False drawer front with two wooden knobs and lock with wrought iron escutcheon. Illegible stamp pattern along front edge of box near lock. 8" H x 18 3/8" Wx 10" D. First half of the 19th century. CONDITION: Overall general wear with minor paint and wood losses.
