Maurice Dale Kellogg (American, 1919 – 1984) large contemporary oil on board triptych painting, titled "Maurice, Louise and their only issue" depicting the artist, his wife and their son, each seperated by a white border and the whole framed with a white wood border. Titled and signed en verso. Additionally signed upper right corner. 36 3/4" H x 73 1/2" W. 20th century. Biography (Courtesy of AskArt): Maurice Kellogg was born December 15, 1919 in Wellington, Kansas. He earned a BA from the Univ. of Kansas and a MA from Harvard University. Kellogg worked as Associate Director of graphics and design at Ginn & Co. in Boston, MA from 1949-67. He taught at the Southeast Arkansas Arts & Science Center beginning in 1974. Exhibitions include: Mid-South Exhibition, 1972; Univ. of Tennessee, 1974; Univ. of Arkansas, Little Rock, 1974. Collections: Dakota Museum; Southeast Arts & Science Center; Southern Arkansas Arts Museum. CONDITION: Some scatterd minor abrasions and losses to white frame. Painting overall very good condition.
