Coin Silver waste bowl, embossed with beaded rim. Monogrammed "T J Y" (possibly Thomas J. Yeatman). Marks for "J. Watson Phila." to the base. 5 1/2" H x 9" W. 25.24 oz troy. Circa 1830's. Note: Family oral history states that this piece is part of a tea set given by President Jackson to Lucius and Mary Polk upon their marriage. Provenance: The estate of Jean A. Yeatman and Harry C. Yeatman, formerly of Hamilton Place Plantation (near Columbia, Tennessee). CONDITION: Overall excellent condition. Slight wear.
