Middle Tennesse stoneware pottery urn with unusual incised rope design rim and opposing strap handles with similar incised rope design. Top third with dark brown color transitioning to red brown with incised lines around the upper and lower shoulder. Attributed to the Hedgecough pottery of Putnam Co., TN. 18" H. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Condition: Some slight shallow chipping to handles and rim.
