Miniature hair and watercolor mourning picture, "Memorial to AB," oval form depicting an urn atop a pedestal inscribed AB, surrounded by a weeping willow tree, with clipped hair "ground" at the base of the pedestal. Some faint blue color in the sky. Housed under glass and mounted on a silk background in a pierced gilt filigree frame with interior bezel. Unsigned. Picture: 1" H x 1/2" W. Frame: 2 1/2" H x 2 1/8" W. Provenance: Purchased New England, 1999. Exhibited, the Gibbes Museum, 2000.
