Charles Kermit "Buck" Ewing (Tennessee, 1910-1976) large mixed media on canvas painting titled "San Sebastian Wall". Depicts an abstract collage image featuring textured three-dimensional motifs, newspaper clippings, and shades of blue, grey, and white paint. Signed and dated "Ewing 64" lower left. Titled, signed, and dated " C. Kermit Ewing, Knoxville Tenn, Oct. 1964" upside down, en verso of canvas. Housed in a stained wormy wood frame with a linen liner and gilt filet. Sight: 35 1/2" H x 25 1/2" W. Framed: 44" H x 33 3/4" W.
CONDITION: Some craquelure throughout. One area where craquelure has been filled with transparent material, possibly done by artist. Frame with wear to edges.
