Antique hardwood trestle dining table or desk, possibly walnut. Rectangular two board top with molded edges, supported on a later trestle base with large square cross stretcher. Square nail and pegged construction. 29 1/2" H x 86" W x 30 3/4" D. Possibly American, early 19th century and later. Provenance: The estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee. Note: More items from the White estate will be offered in our January 29-30 auction.
CONDITION: Top is likely early 19th century with a later 19th century base and supports; cross stretcher possibly original to the top. Molding on one long side replaced. Repair to molding on one short side. Some scarring, staining, and incised lettering to top. Overall wear and abrasions. Missing pin.
