New York coin silver tea service, circa 1825, with tea pot, sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, the teapot and sugar lids having elaborate basket of flower finials, all pieces with repousse scroll and floral bands of decoration over lobed bodies, and bands of floral decoration at feet. Monogrammed MR. Each piece stamped W. B. North & Co in rectangle on underside (William B. North, working New York, NY circa 1822-1826). 77.49 oz troy combined weight. Provenance: a Nashville, Tennessee private collection. CONDITION: Deep, 1/4" long dent to cream jug, small dent to upper rim of sugar bowl, otherwise very good condition.
