Neoclassical carved giltwood "nature morte" mirror, the trophee style crest carved in the form of a rabbit with spear, hunting horn, and floral swags, over a frame with repeating ovolo and leaf motifs. Probably French, early to mid 19th century. 56" H x 23 1/4" W x 1 3/8" D. Provenance: the estate of Virginia J. Cook, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: Regilt, with scattered small breaks, flakes, and repairs, glass likely replaced.
