Rev. Henry Young (American, 1792-1861) Pennsylvania German baptismal and birth announcement fraktur, watercolor and ink on paper, Decker family, Centre County, PA, dated 1843, decorated with architecturally detailed mantle with Corinthian columns with dentil molding and deep frieze inscribed Geburts und Taufschein, supporting a pair of large urns. Two female figures flank the mantle, each holding a scroll with a Bible verse, one figure wearing red and holding a mirror, the other wearing yellow and holding an anchor. Sight – 15" H x 12" W. Framed – 16 1/2" H x 13 1/2" W. American, mid 19th century. Provenance: Private Sevier County, TN collection. CONDITION: Overall good condition with bright colors, some staining, specifically lower left base, on center mantle and upper right corner. Wrinkling to paper and fold lines. Possible tear lower center, approx. 1 3/4" L.
