Early Italian neoclassical commodino or commode having the characteristics of Giuseppe Maggiolini workshop. Satinwood with other mixed hardwoods, having an inset marble top over two dovetailed drawers flanked by canted corners above squared tapering legs with bronze sabots. Drawers, sides, and legs with extensive inlay decoration. 32 1/4" H X 20" W X 11 3/4" D. Italian, late 18th/early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with light general use wear for age. Marble top with hairline. Rear legs with 20th century reinforcing glue blocks (not visible from the front or sides).
