Group of eight (8) assembled baskets, including: three (3) Native American Iroquois split ash baskets, including one (1) large lidded market basket, one (1) small round basket with handle, and one (1) low form round basket; two (2) Native American Southwest coiled baskets, including one (1) round lidded form and one (1) oval tray form; one (1) Native American Wabanaki sweetgrass and ash low round lidded basket; and two (2) Southern contemporary split oak buttocks baskets, one (1) with dyed weavers. All baskets ranging in size from 1 3/4" H x 7" W to 10" H x 18" W x 13 3/4" D. All 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Patricia Kiegel, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st-3rd items: Largest basket with losses to weavers to one shoulder corner, medium basket with losses to weavers around rim and smallest basket with losses to lower edge. 4th & 5th items: Both baskets with scattered losses to weavers. 6th item: Damage (unraveling) to weavers along one side of base edge. 7th & 8th items: Overall good condition, largest with one weaver loose to interior.
