Pair of English Hepplewhite side chairs with tablet style crestrails, diamond pierced and carved lower horizontal splat, and square tapered legs ending in spade feet. Seats with newer dark rose upholstery. Sticker fixed to one chair reads "Tennessee State Room", acc. # 3799. 33 1/4" H x 21" W x 17" D. Circa 1800. Provenance: deaccessioned by the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum, Memorial Continental Hall, in 1941. Private East Tennessee collection.
