Large Old Master allegorical oil on canvas painting titled “The Four Ages of Man,” after the circa 1629 painting by Valentin de Boulogne (French, 1591-1632) in the collection of the National Gallery, London. Four figures of various ages hold objects that represent four stages of human life: childhood, youth, adulthood, and old age. Housed in a later gilt and blue painted wood frame. Sight: 35 1/4 in. H x 52 1/8 in. W. Framed: 43 1/4 in. H x 59 3/4 in. W. 18th century or earlier.
