Venetian Rococo style bombe commode with hand-painted floral reserves in the Lacca Povera manner. The shaped top surmounts three serpentine drawers flanked with bombe corners and sides, with four cabriole legs joined by a pierced apron. The commode is painted with floral bouquets contained in ocher panels set against a green background. 33" H x 48" W x 21 1/2" D. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with some scattered flaking of paint, minor wear, and abrasions commensurate with age. Some vertical wood shrinkage to sides.
