American School oil on board landscape painting titled "Blue Ridge Mountains" depicting autumnal trees against blue, green, red, and purple mountains and a tumultuous sunrise. Signed and dated "C – J 38", lower left. Label with title and Fulton Canvas Boards, Devoe and Raynolds Co. Inc., New York/Chicago label, en verso of board. Housed in a contemporary wooden frame. Sight – 17-1/2" H x 23-1/2" W. Framed – 22-3/4" H x 28-3/4" W. Mid 20th century. CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Two areas of paint exfoliation, largest 3/4", center right of board.
